The stone path where you can cross the Mississippi River. The lake in the background is Lake Itasca.
A closer view of the Mississippi River head water.
We went to the Mississippi River headwaters at Itasca State Park Eight in the morning is the perfect time to visit; we had the park to ourselves. The pine cone was covered with lichen and was very sticky; too bad I didn't notice before tossing it in the back seat.

EDM 273 Draw a Collection of Tools
This is the all in one tool that I keep in my purse. I bought the tool at Cabela's, the carabiner with the compass is from Coleman and the colors match perfectly.
The Cabela's tool contains a pliers, flashlight, saw, pocketknife, phillips head screwdriver, bottle opener, and a regular screwdriver.

Island in the Sun Driftwood Sculpture
This 38" high, driftwood sculpture was inspired by the Caribbean Steel Drum song Island in the Sun.
I've been asked to exhibit it in an art show here in the Twin Cities.
