The Swing by Robert Louis Stevenson Children Sky Silhouette Poster

"The Swing" perfectly captures one of childhoods great joys.

How do you like to go up in a swing,
Up in the air so blue?
Oh, I do think it the pleasantest thing
Ever a child can do!

Up in the air and over the wall,
Till I can see so wide,
Rivers and trees and cattle and all
Over the countryside—

Till I look down on the garden green,
Down on the roof so brown—
Up in the air I go flying again,
Up in the air and down!

The sky and cloud image is from above an abandoned farmhouse in the middle of a field of corn in northern Minnesota. The silhouette came from an 1870s children's book.

Repurposed Wobbly Lucite Wine Stoppers

They wobbled when moved and came in jewel like colors; now the wine stoppers live with a spider plant. If I drank wine I'd grab a glass and jiggle the plant.

Dandelions Fear Me Mowing Lawn Poster

Dandelions are a suburban nemesis but I think they are rather pretty. Our neighbors wage war with chemicals followed by hand to hand combat but I'm happy if we don't misplace the dogs in the tall grass. This gentleman started out as a vintage black and white illustration which I colored digitally.
