Colorized Autumn Leaves ATC
I drew this ATC with an India Ink micron pen then colored it with Prismacolor markers. I liked having a touch of color in a few of the leaves.

I Was Inspired By The Song The Wall
I call this one, Post No Bills. I think I need to put a chalk body outline on the driveway this Halloween.
It's rather fun to draw the outlines in the negative space using the brick wall.

Oil Pastel Drawing of a Landscape
I'm still experimenting with oil pastels and tried a different surface.
This watercolor canvas had an odd tooth that filled quickly and the colors are overly bright since blending was almost impossible.

Farmers Market Signs - Fresh You Betcha
I'm taking a photoshop class and the latest assignment was to make a bus stop sign and bus sign advertising the local Farmer's Market. I went a little crazy bundling up veggies for winter. I particularly like the Viking hat on the pumpkin.

Potato Wearing Earmuffs Done in Photoshop
We had snow last week and I took this before it had a chance to melt. I had so much fun doing the Photoshopped potato with ear muffs I think I'll do more vegetables with hats.

I Had Too Much Fun With Photoshop Frogs
I decided to make a small cheesy book of giant frogs. The book is 16 pages and printed on 2 sheets of paper. I broke the imposition apart since half are printed upside down. The pages are folded, then trimmed, so they are not in order. The font is Feast of Flesh.

Rainbow Trees Abstract Oil Pastel
I recently took a class in oil pastels and I thought I'd try a different surface. I wanted to experiment before making a major commitment to the work so I decided to do a simple abstract painting of the rainbow trees in Hawaii.
They have a lovely colored bark and the greenery is towards the top, unlike our local trees.
I did this on a heavy watercolor paper that has an odd tooth that is too geometric for watercolor. The surface saturates quickly with color so it becomes difficult to apply additional layers. I found I need to plan the drawing more with this surface but it blends very nicely with a stump. The colors are cleaner and brighter.

Fun With Photoshop
I think this is Turtle Beach and the frog was in my yard but a bit smaller.
The chicken is from Kauai, they roam everywhere.
The ape is a statue in Como Zoo and the Minneapolis sky line was taken while returning from the Mall of America.

Charcoal Drawing of A Voodoo Doll
I got this silly little voodoo doll in New Orleans; I liked his startled expression. I bought him on a road trip I took with my daughters several years ago. We had a great time in the French Quarter and the food there was amazing.
We were hot and scruffy so we ended up in a very nice restaurant. They were very gracious even though we were the only customers carrying bags of tourist tzatchkes. I kept calling my poor husband back in Minnesota to let him know what the next course was. By the time we were done eating he was ready to catch a plane and join us.
