EDM 252 Pine Trees

watercolor painting of pine trees near a lake
Class was canceled so instead of doing something on my very long to do list I did a quick watercolor painting of pine trees near a lake. I'm rather pleased with the mist coming off the lake near the horizon line. We had more snow today so it was rather pleasant to do this from memory.

  1. I agree, that mist is wonderful. It's so much better to draw/paint than do the long list of "to-dos", isn't it....really good choice! lol nancy

  3. Mist is difficult, and you've done 2 fine examples of painting what you see, not what you know.

  4. Love the colors and the comp. Beautiful! The mist is wonderful. And anything artsy is better than any to do list. You've got your priorities in the right place.

  6. Beautiful painting--it looks like one of those crisp mountain mornings we have here in some areas of the PNW. I really like the glassy water and the blue/green tones in the trees.
