Wisconsin Stream Watercolor Painting

watercolor landscape with stream
Streams in Wisconsin are different than Minnesota. Our shores are edged with gravel and foliage, Wisconsin tends to have large rocks with a drop down to the water.

Both are picturesque in their own way. The rocks had lots of orange which complemented the blue spruce nicely.

  1. I like this painting! The colors work together so well and the tree in the middle ground on the left looks like so many I have seen. I've never been to Wisconsin, but this painting makes me want to see this very scene. The background trees are so nice - good sense of atmospheric perspective. The rocks look very real and the reflections add a lot! Thanks for posting this lovely watercolor.
